With the recent addition of insurance industry veteran Karen Hallinin, the Chelko Consulting Group adds expertise and confirms its commitment to serving the employee benefit needs of employers in Central and Southern Ohio. As a senior advisor to the firm’s clients, Karen will help build on the great foundation established by Dirk Raderstorf and others in the bottom half of the state over the last 20 years.
Karen has previously held executive positions with United Concordia, MetLife, and Highmark where she developed deep expertise and led such critical areas as underwriting, product development, and provider relations. Prior to joining Chelko, she ran a family business which served the utility industry. During her tenure, Karen grew the company by 50%.
A consummate professional with a passion for excellence, Karen’s attention to detail and eagerness to identify and work with high-performing vendors will help plan sponsors optimize the value of their employee benefit investments.
Established in 2001 to provide high value, conflict free, and transparent medical, life, and disability benefits consulting services to medium- and large-size employers, Chelko has developed a reputation for its data-driven process, actionable insights, and impressive results on behalf of a growing list of Fortune 500 clients. The firm has particularly distinguished itself by applying its clinical and management expertise to centers of excellence, prescription drug benefits, specialty drugs, and the emerging field of ultra-expensive cell and gene therapies.
